Most concussions or mild Traumatic Brain Injuries (mTBI) resolve in a day or 2. The symptoms of a concussion may include headache, confusion, lack of coordination, memory loss, nausea, vomiting, and dizziness, ringing in the ears, sleepiness, and excessive fatigue. If it doesn’t resolve in a week or 2 then perhaps physical therapy may be the answer to help you recover faster. Concussions can affect your balance (vestibular system), sight (ocular) and/or your muscles (musculoskeletal). A physical therapist that has been trained in how a concussion effects these systems and how to work with them can help you return to your pre-concussion lifestyle and activities.
