Stephen K. Churchill

Stephen has been at the forefront of Orthopedic Physical Therapy since graduation with highest honors from Boston University in 1977. He founded Churchill Orthopedic Rehabilitation in 2003. Steve is a member of the Orthopedic section of the American Physical Therapy Association. He is well-regarded for his expertise in the treatment of orthopedic injuries including shoulder, spine, foot/ankle, and sports injuries. Steve’s specialties include shoulder rehabilitation and utilizing the Mulligan technique for joint and spinal mobilization. Steve makes sure to stay current on research and educational opportunities to stay abreast of new developments and theories in the field. His ability to lead by example has created a thirst for knowledge and education in the rest of the team. In addition to his clinical expertise, Steve cultivates a positive, healing environment for patients and team members alike.

Steve has found his professional life’s dream at COR, practicing with highly qualified and regarded associates in a caring, positive, and healing environment. What has been created here is a workplace that is welcoming, engaging, effective and fun to be in for patients and associates alike — you may have heard him remark that it is hard to believe this is “work”!

Steve’s attention to detail means you may have seen him quietly straightening pictures and leveling blinds in the clinic. All in all, he is known as a laid-back person who doesn’t easily let things bother him. Steve resides with his wife and golden doodle in Leonia, where he is also involved in many community activities. He enjoys road cycling, reading, and the beach at all times of the year!
